Gates of Olympus

Greek myth on a 6x5 grid, not classic reels

A 6x5 grid of Gates of Olympus sits on an Ancient Greece theme, with crowns, chalices and coloured gems as its symbols. No fixed paylines decide a win. Eight matching symbols anywhere on the grid trigger a payout, the fewest symbols that pay. After each win, the winning symbols vanish, the rest fall down and new symbols drop from above. This tumble repeats until no win is left.

15 free spins start when four or more Scatter symbols land anywhere on the grid. Three or more Scatter add five more spins. In free spins, orbs on winning tumble steps add their values to one running total, and every win is multiplied by it. Retriggers do not reset that total. In the base game, orbs multiply only the step they land on.

Watch the total climb across every round

At Richard Casino we spell out each bonus rule so you know it before you play.

Land 4+ Scatter symbols

4+ Scatter symbols trigger 15 free spins. A TOTAL MULTIPLIER counter persists across them: each orb on a winning tumble step adds its random value. Every win, tumble steps included, is multiplied by the counter. Special reels show more Scatter. 3+ Scatter retrigger 5 more spins without resetting it.

Wins that keep tumbling

On the 6x5 grid, 8, 10 or 12+ matching symbols anywhere trigger a payout. Winning symbols disappear, the rest fall, and new symbols drop from above, repeating until no win remains. Multiplier Orbs landing on a winning tumble step are summed, and that sum multiplies the step's total win.

Five steps, one round

Gates of Olympus, step by step

By the end you will know how a round runs, from your bet to the payout.

  1. A$0.20 to A$125 stake

A$0.20 is the lowest bet and A$125 the highest, so you set your stake before the first spin. The top prize is 5,000 times the bet you place.

  2. How do 8 matching symbols pay?

8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the 6x5 grid pay a win. Winning symbols vanish, the rest fall, and new ones drop in until no win remains.

  3. Does the sum change the win?

6x5 is the grid where Multiplier Orbs can land during the base game. All orb values on a winning tumble step are summed, and that sum multiplies the step's total win.

  4. What do 4 Scatter bring?

15 free spins start when 4 or more Scatter symbols land anywhere. The total multiplier counter carries across every spin, and 3 or more Scatter add 5 spins without resetting it.

  5. Gates of Olympus session budget

1800 858 858 is the number of the National Gambling Helpline. Set your budget before the first spin, and stop when it is spent.

Entering Free Spins, 100 times the bet

100 times the bet is the price of Buy Free Spins, which comes to A$1,000 at the A$10 example bet.

96.50 per cent of every A$100 staked returns to players over the long run, and the RTP version running on this site is shown in the game rules.

RTP levelRTPSet by provider

Known RTP before, unknown result after

The 96.50 RTP is an average over many rounds, so it does not predict one session. How often the free spins come is not known in advance, because 4 Scatter symbols can land on any spin. Whatever the RTP, the result of one session is random and can end well above or well below the average.

96.50 is the only RTP version listed for Gates of Olympus on this page. Which version runs for you is shown only in the game rules, so open that section before your first spin and read which version is named there.

The x5,000 ceiling equals A$625,000 at the highest bet of A$125. Players reach the maximum win very rarely, and no session can be planned around it. The volatility is high, so results can swing sharply from one session to the next.

Common questions

Before you place your first bet

Six short answers on the bonus, volatility, maximum win, RTP, free spins and the series versions.

Can I buy the bonus in Gates of Olympus and what does it cost?

A$1,000 buys the Free Spins at the A$10 example bet, which is 100 times the bet. The game also offers an Ante Bet that raises the stake to 1.25 times the bet, so A$12.50 at A$10.

How volatile is Gates of Olympus, high or low?

High volatility means wins can be spaced out and larger when they land. No one can know in advance how often the bonus will come or how a session will end. Keep that in mind before each session.

What is the max win on Gates of Olympus slot?

The maximum win is x5,000 the bet, or A$50,000 at the example bet of A$10. At the highest bet of A$125, the same multiple reaches A$625,000. Reaching it is never guaranteed, whatever the bet.

What is the RTP of Gates of Olympus and its versions?

96.50 is the RTP of Gates of Olympus per A$100 staked, the theoretical return over very long play, not a result of one session. Gates of Olympus POP is the only version listed at 97.05.

How do free spins start in Gates of Olympus slot?

4+ Scatter symbols anywhere trigger 15 free spins. During them, 3+ Scatter add five more spins. Every win in those spins is multiplied by the current TOTAL MULTIPLIER, which is not reset on a retrigger.

How is Gates of Olympus different from its other versions?

5,000x is the maximum win of the original version, the lowest in the series. The Super Scatter version reaches 50,000x, while Gates of Olympus POP reaches 25,000x at a 97.05 RTP. The 1000 and Xmas 1000 versions both list 15,000x.
